JAH VINCI ENDORSES EPISODE AS THE NEXT BIG DANCEHALL TALENT IN AFRICA
Big international Jamaican dancehall act, Jah Vinci, has openly ‘stamped’ Episode as the wonder-kid of African Dancehall. Episode was having his sound check at the Accra Sports Stadium few hours to the climax of the Ghana Music Week concert when Jah Vinci heard his (Episode) voice from the backstage. The Jamaican artiste was mesmerized at the new talent’s versatility and also picked the microphone – in what looked like a “mini-lyrical battle” or “Jamaica Sting” – both artistes – Jah Vinci and Episode cooked a new song on stage with a ‘call-and-respond’ duet.
While the technical crew at the stadium saw that as the surprise curtain raiser for the main show, Episode later came to melt the over 8,000 crowd with his sizzling performance that left many on applause for him.
Episode – real name – Theophilus Nii Ardey Otoo Junior – is one of the wild Reggae/Dancehall artistes from Ghana who has begun winning the interest of music fanatics. He is signed to Global One Records and hails from Accra, the capital of Ghana.
Episode is due to drop a mixtape album entitled “Kirikou” on his birthday on March 15, 2014 inside Vienna City in Accra – the event would see heavy appearances of other notable music acts like Tinny, Iwan, Stone (Bradez), Kofi Kinaata, Apaatse and many other lined up acts from his OnTrack Family.
Episode has collaborated with huge Ghanaian acts like Shatta Wale, Edem, Tinny, Stonebwoy Burniton, and others. Apart from music, Episode is a professional Graphic Designer/Artisan.– he is the reason behind Edem’s graffiti in the award-winning “Heyba” video.
